Rare Antique Silver Hunting Christening Horn 1905 Measuring just under 4.5" long with a maximum diameter of 1.5" and hallmarked for Birmingham 1905 (maker's mark rubbed), this is a small, rare silver hunting horn in what can be fairly described as used condition. There are numerous dints and dents and even what looks like a couple of teeth marks on the mouthpiece! However, a good silversmith should be able to sort out these problems. I see them as part of its history. However, there are no splits and it has an internal reed, which gives it a surprisingly loud 'toot'. Two decorative silver rattle tassels hang either side and there is a further loop to take a retaining cord or chain.[SOLD]
